While all three areas provide clients with a similar suite of economic and policy research, analysis, and strategic advisory services, the typical client portfolio and project profile varies across teams.

DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Analyst, you will work with members of the Macroeconomics Practice to manage and deliver analytical and consulting services to a variety of clients, including private companies, trade associations, non-profit organizations, and government entities. You will be expected to apply economic principles and analytical approaches to real-world problems and to exercise advanced problem-solving skills and creativity. Successful candidates have a demonstrated interest in macroeconomic trends and global developments and are able to work simultaneously across multiple subject-matter areas, quickly learning new topics and methods as needed.

Current areas of focus for our Macroeconomic Practice clients include:

  • Short-, medium-, and long-term outlook for the U.S. economy, including inflation risks, post-pandemic economic effects, and trends in employment, consumer spending, investment spending, etc.
  • International economic developments (G20, European Union, Asian, and Latin American economies), developments in global energy markets, currency markets, etc.
  • Developments in economic policy, including fiscal, monetary, and trade policy.
  • Geopolitical risks, including Russia-Ukraine risks, the future of U.S.-China relations, global financial risks, emerging-market debt issues, the rise of global populism, Brexit implications, and other geopolitical developments.
  • U.S. state and regional economic developments.

This position will provide you with opportunities to develop expertise in a variety of economic topics, as well as apply new skills in an up-tempo work environment. You will work alongside a creative, inter-disciplinary team of economists and policy professionals and engaged clients, breaking new ground in terms of the tactics, tools, and insights our clients use to carry out their mission.
